Our Services:

The overall philosophy of Mark Twain Behavioral Health is to support the mission of our agency which is to assist in the provision of high-quality and community-based integrated healthcare.  Mark Twain Behavioral Health is not only committed to addressing the mental health needs of persons served, but to treat the “whole” person through the coordination of comprehensive and person-centered healthcare services which will strengthen the lives of both consumers and their families.

In particular, the goals are to treat and reduce emotional and psychiatric symptoms, promote healthy behaviors and improve overall health so our clients can lead productive lives. MTBH employees strive to assure that clients receive services that are individualized, rehabilitative in nature and strength-based.  Mental health services promote healing and restoring of health and wellness - people can recover from illness and can live, learn and participate fully in their communities. The goal of MTBH is to help them accomplish recovery.

MTBH has offices located in Hannibal, Kirksville, and Macon.  Hannibal and Kirksville offices are open for business during the hours of 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday.  After-hours appointments are made at the request of the consumer/referral source. Macon office service hours vary and may be verified by contacting that office. 

MTBH accepts Missouri Medicaid, private pay, and third party insurances as well as provides services for employment assistance programs.
