Mark Twain Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time EMERGENCY ROOM ENHANCEMENT (ERE) CLINICIAN for our KIRKSVILLE MISSOURI service area. This is a full-time exempt and remote position which requires participation in providing Mobile Crisis Response Services. This work-from-home position requires the selected candidate to reside in or near the Northeast Missouri region to provide in-person services for our service area per role responsibilities. Employees have the flexibility to self-schedule ERE duties to ultimately meet the high-demand needs of the consumers and concurrently incorporate added after-hour on-call duties in their shifts' work.

Role Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with hospital staff, ambulatory personnel, law enforcement and other collaborating agencies
- Perform on-site or community-based mental health screenings/assessments as needed
- Provide extensive case management and care coordination including support of consumers in their effort to obtain appropriate entitlements, such as Medicaid. Connect patients to primary care services. Provide patient education on using their Primary Care Provider (PCP) instead of Emergency Room. Assist consumers in locating transportation to upcoming appointments. Equip patients with the resources to navigate the network of healthcare services. Assist with linkages so clients can effectively utilize community resources and develop a community support system unique to the client. Provide supportive and clinical services to facilitate client growth and movement toward independence in the least restrictive environment. Help patients resolve barriers to using appropriate care sites. Refer and or participate with LPN, Healthcare Home, or PCP for medication reconciliation or chronic medical health needs. Consult with partners, parents, work or school personnel to determine causes of problems and effective
- Coordinate service delivery with appropriate agencies. Monitor client participation and progress by tracking compliance with follow-up face-to-face visits. Provide telephone contact within identified time
- Complete program-specific documentation. Turn in Council data in a timely fashion to Crisis Services Director
- Arrange and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings on behalf of assigned clients
- Rotate on-call mobile response with other members of Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) Team. Give clinical oversight when unusual circumstances are identified
- Provide additional after-hour on-call crisis services in accordance with the essential duties and responsibilities of the ACI system. After-hour on-call hours are calculated towards full-time hours worked that shift. If additional flex time is accrued, during on-call periods, please approve with supervisor.
- Maintain consistent updated communication with Crisis Services Director for coordination of care
- Guide treatment development with consumer and other stakeholders and maintain a clinical record to DMH certification standards including a clinical assessment, diagnosis and progress notes all completed and maintained in a timely manner. Assure all supporting documentation is present in each file.
- Maintain a professional code of ethics at all times and behave in a professional and courteous manner with all
- Represent MTBH in the community by attendance at local interagency teams as assigned
- Adhere to all clients rights, including confidentiality. Serve as a client advocate.

Adherence to the MTBH Ethical Code of Conduct and all policies is required.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology with a current Missouri license or license eligible OR Registered Nurse with a current Missouri license
- Demonstrated knowledge of alcohol and drug addictions or certification as an alcohol and drug counselor
- Minimum of three years of experience in working with persons in crisis is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
