Mark Twain Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE for our HANNIBAL MISSOURI - COMMUNICATIONS DRIVE location.  This full-time salaried position offers competitive pay and full benefits.  Consider joining our MTBH Team!  We offer a supportive culture of appreciation and a strong emphasis on the health and wellbeing of our team.

This position provides clinical nursing services under the supervision and direction of the Crisis Stabilization Unit Program Director and Medical Director. This position is for four (4) 10-hour afternoon/evening shifts on Monday-Thursday.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Triage for level of care
  • Provide crisis intervention services to stabilize the acute crisis
  • Conduct intake assessment
  • Assist with development of the initial crisis stabilization plan
  • Provide nursing services within scope of practice and per direction of medical providers
  • Establish and maintain a professional and positive relationship with medical providers and community stakeholders
  • Complete appropriate clinical data in a timely manner and document in medical record
  • Monitor and log drug samples to comply with DMH standards
  • Attend staff meetings with clinical staff and physicians
  • Provide care and oversight of clients in collaboration with other team members
  • Educate clients regarding their illness and their medications
  • Serve as a liaison for MTBH clients to their medical provider
  • Conduct psychoeducational groups
  • Provide occasional on-call consultation regarding after-hour admissions

Adherence to the MTBH Ethical Code of Conduct and all policies is required.

 Qualifications

  • Current Missouri LPN license 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Crisis experience preferred
  • Knowledge of drug and alcohol addictions and mental illness
